Meet Dr. Geneser
Dr. Teresa Geneser grew up in southern Massachusetts. She grew up with lots of cousins and family nearby. When she was little, she spent summers visiting her grandparents in Portugal, and she and her sisters played a lot of soccer!
She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry. She attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, graduating in 2008. After completing a general practice residency at Brown University, she went on to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry, obtaining her certificate from the University of Iowa.
Prior to joining Cedar Rapids Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Geneser was in private practice for three years in Iowa City. She joined Dr. Swenson at Cedar Rapids Pediatric Dentistry in 2014 and became a partner and owner in 2017. Dr. Geneser is currently an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and serves as the Vice President of the Iowa Academy of Peidatric Dentistry. She remains active in the American Dental Association and Iowa Dental Association.
Dr. Terry and her husband have three children, two dogs, and a very busy schedule! She enjoys cooking and family hikes. Her children like to make messes (but we call it creativity). The Geneser family enjoys swimming, game nights, and bike rides. They still find time to cheer on the Hawkeyes when they can!
Dr. Geneser is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Iowa Dental Association.
